After more than a year without updates, things are beginning to stir again on bit7.org. A server move is in progress and a number of new sub sites and FTP mirrors will be added to the main site, and several new mirrors will also be added here. Additionally, a Facebook group has been set up, please visit http://www.facebook.com/bit7.org to receive the latest updates.

A number of new map reviews have been added to the site for Quake I, Quake III and Quake Live:

Additionally, short reviews have been added detailing alternate versions of levels from ports, Quake Live, CTF conversions and updated versions of maps that have already been featured in the reviews section.

A new Quake III map review has been added to the site, of Ferdinand List's entry into the NoGhost mapping competition, Left Behind, as announced here on Func_MsgBoard.

New Quake III map reviews have been added to the site, the brilliant Lichtwärts and The Doom That Came to Dunwich, a collaboration between Iikka Keränen & Zdim.

After more than a year in the pipeline the site is live, along with a whole host of other sites covering gaming, programming and software on this domain, including classic RPGs and adventure games like Icewind Dale I & II , Planescape: Torment, Beneath a Steel Sky and more.

Many site updates are planned over the coming months, with large amounts of content still in progress including a wealth of map reviews, archived content, game guides, file and demo archives and a development section covering the enhanced engines built since the release of the game source code.
