Terminal Heights is another level converted from the classic Quake Arena level set, where it was known as Apocalypse Void. It remains mostly unchanged here in gameplay and structure, the most significant update being the addition of several large pillars, an extra elevator platform on the ground level and a rearrangement of the weapon and item placements. Please refer to the original Quake III review of Q3DM19 for more information.

There are no secrets in this level, but it's worth knowing that some of the light fittings beneath the ground level in this arena can support a gladiator's weight. If you jump off the sides of the level, or go for the flight powerup and miss, you can angle your descent and grab one of them as you fall. When playing gametypes like Clan Arena or Duel against inexperienced gamers this can prove a useful strategy, as a hiding place to sit out the remaining moments of a round while on low health, for example. Unlike most of the hiding places in the Quake Live arenas, these ones are final once you've made the jump there's no way of climbing back up, and you're a sitting duck for whomever may notice you, so choose wisely.
