• I've added a short description and link to Skorpion's Omibot Page in the Bot Downloads section under Bot Reviews. Whether you play Quake offline with the Omicron bot, or tune up against them for online mayhem, you owe yourself (and your bots) a visit to this excellent resource that features over 200 route files for custom Quake DM maps. Get thee hence.=]

This permanent Archive has been placed on-line to house the collected sum total of Quake and Quake2 Custom Deathmatch Map Reviews I wrote during the period of September 14th, 1997 through April 20th, 1999 including 7 pieces for PQ Level Of The Week. This Archive also contains the series of in-depth Quake Bot reviews, articles and interviews crafted by Meanstryk.

Reviews are grouped under their respective subject headings in the fold-out menu to the left. Each Author section will display a list of their maps I have reviewed here, the original "teasers", author's e-mail and site links, map download link and a link to the Full Review. Bot Reviews contain download links (Bot name in bold text) for their respective Bots and the author's e-mail link. I've also included a Bot Download section for you to grab the most popular Bots for Q1 and Q2 to use with any of the maps you find here. Articles is where you'll find interviews and essays. About is just that....2 PQ Spotlights on Ramshackle, a short FAQ covering popular user questions and instructions for using Q1 and Q2 maps you find here. Legal lists copyright and credits information for those who might like to use material from this site and how to go about it....the right way.

For those of you who are new to Ramshackle: "100 reviews is not that many" you say? Perhaps not when compared to the "super-review" sites. There are three distinct differences to note. Each map review is based upon many hours of playtesting scenarios by a crew of humans....not bots. Each review is a thorough and in-depth examination of each piece from top to bottom so you won't need a "score". Each map Reviewed and linked for download is keeper as well as a milestone in the Deathmatch Map author's craft and commitment to the genre and it's fans. I hope you enjoy reading these pieces. I appreciate having had the opportunity of presenting these maps to you. • Jeff
